I'm a SAHM to SIX children, 3 of each model. The girls are currently ages 15, 12 and 7, and the boys are 9, 6, and 4. I enjoy many crafts, but my main interest is crocheting and knitting. I also enjoy music, both listening to and playing. I'm in the church bell choir, and I've played french horn for over 25 years. I currently play in a couple community concert bands, and I play throughout the year in church. My husband and I were married in the fall of 2004, and we are currently owned by 3 cats and 1 dog.

Names

I've been thinking of names today. We've already agreed if it is a boy he will be Ryan Matthew, but we're having more trouble coming up with a girl's name. Ward likes Madison, but I'm not particularly fond of that one. At the same time, I haven't come up with anything I particularly love, either. Emmy and Allie want to name the baby Rose if it is a girl, and we like that, but would probably use it as a middle name if we do use it. We've tried pairing it with Christina, Abigail, Madison...but it's just not clicking with me. My favorite so far that I've come up with has been Kristina Leigh-Anne, which has some meaning behind it before anyone asks where I came up with that! I have 2 sisters, and their middle names are Kristin, and Leigh. My mother's name is Leeann. My mother was named after her two aunts, whose middle names were Lee and Ann. Of course I haven't run this name past Ward, yet, and he may not like it at all, but the more I look at it the more I like it. Hmm. Well, we are just under 3 weeks until our big ultrasound, and hopefully we will find out which kind of baby this is, so I'll know if I need to work on the girl's name or not!

Gap-Toothed Kid

Emily lost her first baby tooth yeterday. :) She has been so excited about it being loose for the past couple weeks, and couldn't wait to show me when she brought it home from school in a baggie. Her cousin Ray, who is 5, is intrigued, and her sister Allison insists that she now has a loose tooth as well! It may take me a few days to get used to seeing my gap-toothed almost 6 year old!

U/S #2 Feb '05

We had our second visit in February. I was 13 weeks exactly, and rather than try to hear the heartbeat with the doppler, he chose to use the ultrasound for another quick check, and baby measured 63mm, 12w 5d. Baby has grown a lot, and looks more like a little alien instead of the gummy bear it was last month.

The first ultrasound, from January. I was almost 10 weeks (9w 5d) and he measured baby to be about 26mm, 9w 2d. Looks like we have only one little bean in there...actually I think he/she looks like a gummy bear in this picture. :)

Back on track

Well, hopefully I'll be back on track now. I spent all day Sunday 2/27 with a major headache that left me incapacitated. I spent most of the day lying on the couch. :( By Monday, I was better, but still had the residual "ugh" feeling in my head, just knowing that headache was lurking there in the background, ready to start again, but thankfully it subsided. I've had errands to run every day this week so far, so I'm very glad for a day to stay home and get caught up on things today.

In baby news, I'm 16 weeks now, and things are just rolling right along. I still don't really *feel* pregnant, though, and I'll feel a lot better and like it's more "real" when I start feeling baby move. I still haven't felt what I can say for sure is the baby, but I suspect I probably have felt him/her a handful of times. This one has been quieter than my last one, from what I can tell so far!

I have a couple ultrasound pictures that I want to include here, so my next task is to see if I can figure out how to add a picture.
